Wendy Fenwick appointed Ernst & Young global oil and gas leader

London, 24 November 2008 — Wendy Fenwick has been appointed global oil and gas leader at Ernst & Young, with immediate effect. Wendy will be responsible for leading a global team of oil and gas professionals providing a wide range of assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services to the industry.

Commenting on her role Wendy said, “This is a very exciting time for the industry, which faces some unique challenges, including recent oil price volatility, growth of the National Oil Companies, the International Oil Companies’ quest for new reserves and the growing skills shortage. We are looking forward to helping our international clients with responses to these challenges to support their ongoing commitment to and investment in the oil and gas sector.”

Wendy brings vast experience to the global oil and gas leadership role. Starting with BP, she has spent her entire career in the oil and gas sector advising major integrated oil companies on large scale transformation programs, merger integration, carve outs and shared services. Wendy is also on the advisory board of Positive Energy – the global leadership network for women in the oil and gas sector.

Wendy succeeds Rob Jessen, who was instrumental in establishing Ernst & Young’s global oil and gas center and strategy. Rob will continue to lead on major client accounts in the sector.
